All About Messy Church

Due to the coronavirus, we regret that Messy Church is

cancelled until it is safe for us to meet again

Come and have a great time at Messy Church! It's a form of relaxed church for both children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. Anyone who is curious about the Christian faith is welcome, especially if you've never considered visiting a church before.

A Messy Church session begins with a short registration, making your name badge, and an explanation of today's theme. Then the fun really begins! Everyone now has the opportunity to get creative, exploring a bible story through various crafts, and this is where the messy bit can happen! Don't worry, get stuck in, make some noise, and just enjoy yourself! Afterwards, we have a short time of celebrating what we've learned, which can involve games, singing, videos and prayer, and then a sit down lunch together.

Each session is totally free (even the lunch) and there's no offering or collection. We meet in the church hall (entrance through either the Coatsworth Road or car park doors), introduction begins at 10:15 and we usually finish about 12pm after we've finished eating lunch.

Please note that Whitehall Road Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of everyone, and so we insist all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will remain on the premises with them at all times.
