Special Christmas Christingle Messy Church

Sunday 8 December 2019 at 4:00

Our next session is our Christingle Messy Church and will be led by our minister, Rev Brigitta Steele. There is just the one craft activity for this session, making a Christingle! A Christingle is made up of:

  • An orange, representing the world
  • A candle pushed into the centre of the orange, then lit, representing Jesus as Light of the World
  • A red ribbon wrapped around the orange, representing the blood of Christ
  • Dried fruit and small sweets on cocktail sticks pushed into the orange, representing the fruits of the earth and the four seasons

When everyone is ready, we'll go into church for a short Christmas carol service. The lights will be dimmed so your Christingle will really shine! After we've finished our carols, we will have drinks and Christmas snacks waiting for you!

Next Saturday session is 1 February 2020, 10:00 - 12:00

With everything topsy-turvy over the Christmas holidays, we're taking a break in January. Our regular Messy Church sessions on the first Saturday of the month will begin again on 1 February 2020.
